PRIVACY STATEMENT
DATA PROCESSING
The following information provides an overview of the processing of your personal data and your rights under GDPR.
The data processing primarily encompasses collecting, recording, organisation, classification, storage, modification, alteration, usage, disclosure via transmission, and deletion of personal data aided by automatic processes.
When you visit our website, the device you access the site with automatically transmits log data (connection data) to our servers. Log data includes, for example, the IP address of the device you access the website with. We only store IP addresses for documentation purposes and to prevent misuse, where required. IP addresses will be deleted within a reasonable period of time.
FACEBOOK SOCIAL PLUGINS
Our website uses social plugins ("Plugins") of the social network www.facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). The plugins can be recognised by one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on blue tile, the words "Like" or a "Thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and appearance of the Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed here: developers.facebook.com.
If a user calls up a function of our online service that contains such a plugin, his device establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to the user's device and integrated into the online service by the user. User profiles can be created from the processed data. Therefore, we have no influence on the extent of the data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and that is why we inform the users according to our state of knowledge.
By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that a user has called up the corresponding page of the online service. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his or her Facebook account. When users interact with the plugins, for example, by pressing the like button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your device to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to find out his IP address and to store it. According to Facebook, in Germany only an anonymised IP address is stored.
The purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as relevant rights and setting options to protect the privacy of users can be found in the Facebook data policy: www.facebook.com. If a user is a Facebook member and doesn’t want Facebook to collect his data via this online service and link it to his membership data stored on Facebook, he has to log out of Facebook and delete his cookies before using our online service. Further settings and objections to the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: www.facebook.com or via the US-site www.aboutads.info or the EU-site www.youronlinechoices.com. The settings are platform-independent, i.e., they are adopted for all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.
WEB ANALYSIS VIA GOOGLE ANALYTICS
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, in the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. You may refuse the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link.
